1. Product Basis and Standards
The instrument is designed and developed with reference to relevant international technical documents and current national standards and norms in China. It meets the requirements of No. 72 published by the International Lighting Commission (CIE), ASTM D4061-94, DIN67520, 67521 of Germany, GB/T 26377-2010 Reverse Reflectometer of China, GB/T 16311-2009 Quality Requirements and Monitoring Methods of Road Traffic Markings, JJG 059-2004 Verification Regulations of Reverse Reflectometer.
2. Measurement principle
The geometric condition of the retroreflective marking instrument is to simulate the scene observed by the driver in the cab when the headlamp illuminates the marking made of the retroreflective material on the road at night.
The angle between the optical axis of the headlamp and the normal line of the road surface (reference axis) becomes the incident angle (beta), which is set at 88.76 degrees. The angle between the optical axis of the headlamp and the reverse light is called the observation angle (alpha), which is set at 1.05 degrees. The light source and optical system are projected to the marking line according to the incident angle beta. The size of the measured marking line is 200 X 95 mm. The reflected light from the marking line is emitted to the filter equipped with V(lambda) according to the observation angle alpha of 1.05 degree. The measured value is displayed on the measuring value display after processing, that is, the measured value of the inverse reflection coefficient R’.
